Mel B has confessed that she would “love” to reunite the Spice Girls.
The 35-year-old expressed her desire to make music with the ’90s girl group once again, but admitted that she hasn’t yet discussed the idea with bandmates Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm.
She told Contactmusic: “I’d love to get back with the Spice Girls. I’ve always championed more Spice Girls concerts, DVDs and music. But we haven’t had that conversation as a group yet and I can’t speak on everyone’s behalf.”
When questioned about future Spice Girls projects, the Leeds-born singer added: “Right now, we’re all talking about the musical Viva Forever, which is coming out next year.”
However, she refused to reveal further details on the much-anticipated show, explaining only: “I’m not allowed to say anything about it yet though.”
The Spice Girls continued as a four-piece in 1998 after Halliwell’s departure and eventually split in 2001. They reunited for a 2007 world tour, which came to a premature end in 2009.
