VICTORIA BECKHAM is set to follow in the footsteps of her soccer ace husband DAVID when she strips down to her underwear to model for Italian fashion house ARMANI.
The former Spice Girl will debut as the “worldwide testimonial” for Emporio Armani Women’s underwear in the Spring/Summer 2009 campaign.
The collaboration comes months after David Beckham stopped traffic by posing scantily clad for the Italian designer, which was unveiled on a massive billboard unveiled in California last June (08).
In a statement, Giorgio Armani said: “Who better than Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani underwear campaign? Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women’s underwear business.”

Holmes completed the run in five hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds.And now Beckham is set to take on the same feat.A source tells Britain’s Now magazine, “It was meant to be a big secret. She’s been training for months with the main goal of running in the New York marathon.
“But, if she doesn’t feel ready, she’s planning to do the one in Los Angeles in February next year (09).”
Beckham’s soccer ace husband David has reportedly been giving her fitness tips to get the singer-turned-designer into shape.
And the couple has put plans to expand their family on hold for the time being so Beckham can achieve her goal.The insider adds, “She wants to get the run out of the way because once she gets pregnant it’ll be ages before she has the opportunity again.”
The Beckhams are parents to Brooklyn, nine; Romeo, six; and Cruz, three.

Asked if he hopes to develop a film career, the fashion fan recently issued an emphatic denial. “What film career? I haven’t got one,” Beckham told the December issue of British GQ. “Never say never, except about that! And that’s the way it’s going to stay.”

Still, that doesn’t stop 33-year-old from mingling with famous friends like Cruise. “He came round for dinner a few weeks ago,” said Beckham. “But it’s the same with him. We just go round and watch a film. It’s not a big deal, it’s just popping round to watch a film or to mess around and play with the kids.”

The Brit also dismissed claims that Cruise has tried to convert him or his wife Victoria.

“I respect any person’s religion. Everybody’s got their own ideas,” said Beckham. “And, of course, Tom is a big believer in Scientology, but he’s never pushed anything on to us about it and he never will do. Friends don’t do that.”

His L.A. Galaxy soccer team has failed to make the playoffs and will not take the field again until next March. During the lay-off, Beckham will reportedly play for Italy’s AC Milan. But, he insists, America is still his home.

“We’re happy here at the moment, that’s the biggest thing,” he explained. “When your family are happy, that’s all you can ask for.”

Paparazzi helps Beckham dodge speeding ticket. DAVID BECKHAM has finally found an advantage to being chased everywhere he goes by a trail of paparazzi photographers – it helps you avoid speeding tickets. The hunky star was caught driving his black Porsche too fast along Los Angeles’ Sunset Boulevard on Friday, by an eagle-eyed cop who pulled him over. But just as the officer contemplated handing the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer star a fine, photographers pounced, causing chaos on the side of the road – prompting the cop to let him off with a slap on the wrist. Beckham then zoomed off, at a legal speed, to catch up with his wife Victoria, who was leading the Beckham family convoy in her own white Porsche.

here’s a lot of news from the Beckham camp to report! It looks like David Beckham will indeed go play for AC Milan, but he wants to make sure it doesn’t affect his allegiance to the LA Galaxy.

Beckham is currently in talks with Milan, and will likely come to a decision in the next few days. He wants to play for Milan because their season is longer than here in the U.S., and then return to LA for next season.

He says, ”One of the reasons I want to train and play in Milan for a few months is the fact that the MLS season doesn’t run as long as the European season and my body is programmed to actually not have that amount of time off.

”AC Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, I’ve been lucky enough to play with one of the biggest clubs in England, one of the biggest clubs in Spain and now I’m being given the chance to play with one of the biggest clubs in Italy.

”I’m hoping to go to Milan to train and play with them. I’ve played with two of the biggest clubs in the world, Man Utd and Real Madrid. I’ve been given the chance to join up with Milan for a couple of months and I’m very honored.”

In related news, David and Victoria are in talks to make a documentary upon their arrival to Milan. It will be similar to Posh’s Coming To America show which showed her going through the process of adjusting to life in the states.

Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, who owns AC Milan, is said to be planning to offer the Beckhams $16 million for the film. A source tells Britain’s Daily Mirror, “It will be similar in format to the U.S documentary last year, but this time the budget is absolutely huge. It will be a really polished, professional production. With Silvio 100 per cent behind the project, as part of his vision to expand the AC Milan brand, it really will be no holds barred.”

Wow! That’s pretty nice of him! Can you imagine President Bush ever offering the Beckhams something like that? That’s just weird! Doesn’t the prime minister need the money for other things? MILAN, Italy —

David and Victoria Beckham have made Los Angeles their home now that David plays for LA Galaxy, but the star player is heading back to Europe to play for an Italian team — temporarily.

The 33-year-old will reportedly play for AC Milan on loan in January, the team told the BBC.

“Beckham has chosen Milan. He’ll stay here in Milan on loan for a few months,” Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani told the BBC. “Our squad is ultra-competitive and it will remain this way but Beckham is something different and intriguing.”

His Los Angeles team’s season ends this weekend and starts again in April. David is expected to return for the start of the new season in spring.

David is not under contract with any of the previous European teams, Real Madrid or Manchester United, he’s played with.

As the epicenter of worldwide fashion and style, Milan should be a fitting temporary home for David and a shopping dream for Victoria, should she visit her husband during his stay.
